Qualified & Verified

All Independent Technicians HMRC and address references are verified before being able to offers of work are issued. Right to work in the UK, citizenship status, Qualifications and CSCS cards are checked by Skillsmate.

Cost Effective

The fee is transparent and is made up of three parts;

1. The agreed rate and time utilised on the job of the independent worker that week.
2. The fixed oversight charge, made up of a) Insurance, b) HSE management c) worker reporting, support and data management costs. This is the cost of the support staff, data control, software.
3. Payment processing fee. This is the cost of Skillsmate and is 2.5% of the sums paid to the Independent worker that week.

Additional training modules are available at £12.50 per unit per worker and cover 120 topics in over twenty languages.

Legal & Fully Insured

Skillsmate undertakes HMRC Check Employment Status for Tax regularly for all Skillsmate Accredited Independent Technicians Skillsmate also undertake Right to Work checks for all non- UK-Eire citizens. Plus for Skilled mates in the Construction Industry we verify HMRC UTR numbers and tax status. To ensure safe working we have developed with our partners a neat Risk Assessment and Method Statement Module. Easy to use on any smart phone, with full analysis, compliance checking and easy to customise for the job in hand.

Lone Worker Geo Location

Peace of mind, Technicians can login into the lone working module, when they enter your site. They enter an anticipated finish time and frequency for Skillsmate to send “I’m OK” messages. When that “I’M Ok” reminder come they have 5 minutes to supress the “Call me” message being issued to from a nominated site minder and 10 minutes for that to be issued to Skillsmate who the minder we cannot contact them and will issue an alert to the emergency services at the 15-minute interval or a “Help me” message being issued.
